We are looking for a motivated Academic Counselor in Mumbai to join our admissions team. This role is ideal for candidates with excellent communication skills, interpersonal abilities, and experience in EdTech sales or student counseling.
As an Academic Counselor, you will provide essential academic guidance to prospective learners, helping them navigate course offerings, admissions requirements, and career opportunities within the analytics and technology education space. You will play a key role in driving student enrollments and supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Counseling: Provide personalized guidance on academic programs, course details, fees, curriculum, and prerequisites.
Admissions Assistance: Support students through the admission process, including applications, interviews, and document verification.
Lead Follow-Up & Conversion: Engage with leads through calls, messages, and follow-ups to drive student enrollments.
Presentations & Online Counseling: Conduct presentations, online counseling sessions, and face-to-face meetings to explain program benefits and career outcomes.
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, follow-ups, and feedback using CRM or other tools.
Career Counseling: Offer guidance on job roles, certifications, and upskilling opportunities relevant to analytics and tech careers.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and admissions teams to meet enrollment targets and support organizational goals.
Industry Awareness: Stay updated on trends in education, analytics, and emerging technologies to provide informed guidance.
Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and educational partners to enhance engagement and retention.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum 1 year in EdTech sales, academic counseling, or a similar role.
Communication: Excellent English communication and presentation skills (verbal & written).
Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer-facing abilities with a charismatic, competitive, and enthusiastic personality.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to confidently engage with students and families and support conversions.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or record-keeping tools.
