The Store Manager for Cloud Servers & IT Hardware Inventory is responsible for managing, tracking, and optimizing inventory of servers, storage devices, networking hardware, cloud appliances, spare parts, and related IT assets. This role ensures accurate stock levels, smooth inward/outward movement, compliance with asset management processes, and supports data center and cloud deployment teams.
Maintain accurate inventory of servers, components, network devices, racks, cables, and cloud hardware.
Implement and monitor stock control processes for high-value IT equipment.
Track serial numbers, barcodes, and asset tags for all items.
Conduct periodic stock audits and reconcile physical vs. system inventory.
Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive electronic equipment.
Organize and label racks, shelves, and bins as per IT asset management standards.
Ensure safe handling of hardware to avoid electrostatic or physical damage (ESD compliance).
Manage GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes) and verify items against purchase orders.
Coordinate dispatch and movement of servers and components to data centers or remote sites.
Maintain accurate records of hardware issuance and returns.
Maintain IT asset management records in ERP / inventory management systems.
Keep detailed logs of lifecycle stages—procurement, storage, deployment, repair, disposal.
Generate monthly inventory and consumption reports for management.
Coordinate with suppliers for delivery schedules, damaged goods return, and replacements.
Work with logistics teams for transportation of sensitive IT equipment.
Assist procurement teams with stock forecasts and reorder requirements.
Ensure adherence to company policies, IT compliance standards, and audit requirements.
Maintain secure storage areas with restricted access.
Follow EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols for hardware handling.
Support deployment teams with timely issuance of hardware for installation.
Maintain buffer stocks for urgent deployment needs.
Assist with hardware testing and QC (if required).
Bachelor’s degree (preferred in IT, Electronics, Supply Chain, or related field).
Certification in inventory management or IT asset management is an advantage.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking) preferred.
Strong understanding of server and network hardware components.
Knowledge of ERP, inventory management software, or asset tracking tools.
Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced cloud/data center environments.
ESD handling knowledge is a plus.
