Job Overview
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Store Cum Operations Manager to manage the complete store and day-to-day operational activities of our interior designing and manufacturing factory. The candidate will be responsible for inventory management, material handling, procurement coordination, manpower coordination and smooth factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
Store & Inventory Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the factory store.
Maintain proper records of raw materials, hardware, furniture materials, welding materials, fibre/FRP and GRC materials.
Handle inward and outward movement of materials.
Check quantity and quality of materials received from vendors.
Maintain stock registers and ensure accurate inventory records.
Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate for timely replenishment.
Prevent material wastage, damage and unauthorized usage.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage and arrangement of materials for easy identification and access.
Factory Operations
Supervise and coordinate daily factory operations.
Coordinate with production supervisors, carpenters, welders, fabricators and other workers.
Ensure materials are issued to production teams as per requirements.
Monitor workflow and ensure smooth movement of materials from store to production.
Coordinate with management and the design/project team regarding material and production requirements.
Ensure work is completed within the required timelines.
Handle day-to-day operational issues and coordinate with concerned departments for solutions.
Purchase & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with the purchase team/vendors for required materials.
Compare material requirements with available stock before placing orders.
Follow up with vendors regarding deliveries and pending materials.
Check received materials against purchase orders/invoices.
Maintain proper documentation of purchases and material receipts.
Team & Administration
Manage and coordinate store staff and supporting workers.
Maintain discipline and proper work practices within the store and factory.
Prepare daily/weekly reports related to stock and operations.
Ensure proper cleanliness, safety and organization of the store and work areas.
Report stock shortages, damages, wastage and operational issues to management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Store Management / Factory Operations / Production Operations.
Experience in an interior designing, furniture, fabrication or manufacturing factory will be preferred.
Good knowledge of inventory and stock management.
Understanding of furniture, hardware, welding, fabrication, FRP/Fibre and GRC materials will be an added advantage.
Strong coordination and team-management skills.
Good knowledge of material handling and documentation.
Ability to manage multiple operational activities simultaneously.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer knowledge, especially Excel and inventory records, is preferred.
Preferred Candidate
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, responsible and organized, with the ability to independently manage the store as well as coordinate the overall factory operations.
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
