Job Summary
The Store Manager will be responsible for managing all inventory, purchasing, and labour coordination related to event operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must ensure the timely availability of event materials, efficient storage practices, and smooth handling of store-related labour tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory records of event materials, equipment, and supplies.
Conduct regular stock audits and update the inventory system accordingly.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all items.
Monitor stock levels and identify shortages or overstock situations.
2. Purchasing & Procurement
Source materials, equipment, and supplies required for events.
Compare vendors, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
Track purchase orders and maintain procurement documentation.
Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining product quality.
3. Labour Handling & Coordination
Supervise store labour team and assign daily tasks.
Coordinate loading/unloading of event materials before and after events.
Ensure labour teams follow safety procedures and proper handling practices.
Maintain attendance and performance records of store labour staff.
4. Event Support
Coordinate with event planners and operations teams for material requirements.
Arrange timely dispatch and return of materials for all events.
Ensure all equipment is checked, cleaned, and maintained before and after events.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of stock movement, damage reports, and daily store logs.
Prepare monthly reports on inventory status, purchases, and labour performance.
Track asset usage and assist in asset lifecycle management.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in store management, preferably in event or operations industry.
Strong knowledge of inventory systems and store-handling procedures.
Ability to manage labour teams and coordinate multiple tasks.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel/Inventory Management software.
Physically capable of overseeing store and material movement when required.
