Job Title: Store In-Charge – FMCG Retail Outlet

Reports To: Area Sales Manager (ASM)
Job Summary
The Store In-Charge is responsible for the overall operations, sales performance, staff management, and customer satisfaction of the FMCG retail outlet. The role ensures smooth day-to-day functioning of the store, achievement of sales targets, inventory control, and maintaining brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Operations
Manage complete day-to-day store operations.
Ensure the store opens and closes as per company timings and SOPs.
Maintain store cleanliness and display standards.
Ensure availability of all essential FMCG products at all times.
2. Sales & Revenue
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Monitor daily sales performance and take corrective actions.
Plan in-store promotions, offers, and schemes to increase sales.
Upsell and cross-sell products to improve basket value.
3. Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and place timely replenishment orders.
Ensure proper receiving of goods from DC.
Conduct regular stock audits and prevent stock loss/shrinkage.
Track expiry dates and ensure FIFO (First In First Out) is followed.
4. Team Management
Supervise sales staff, cashiers, and housekeeping personnel.
Prepare duty rosters and manage attendance.
Train staff on customer service, product knowledge, and billing process.
Motivate the team to achieve store targets.
5. Customer Service
Ensure high standards of customer service at all times.
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
Build strong customer relationships to improve repeat business.
6. Billing & Cash Handling
Oversee billing counters and ensure accurate transactions.
Monitor cash collection, POS operations, and daily cash reconciliation.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting.
7. Compliance & Reporting
Follow company policies, safety standards, and legal compliance.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports (sales, stock, expenses).
Coordinate with HO/warehouse for smooth supply chain operations.

Qualification
Graduate / Diploma in Retail Management or equivalent
Retail experience preferred
Experience
2–6 years of experience in FMCG retail
Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory/managerial role
