Material Handling Expertise
Knowledge of receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking plant materials (e.g., valves, pipes, pumps, electrical spares, chemicals).
Stock Control & Planning
Maintaining minimum/maximum stock levels, reorder points, and slow-moving item tracking.
Inventory Accuracy
Conducting regular physical stock audits and reconciling with system records.

MS Excel / Word / Email
For documentation, stock reports, and communication.
Inventory Management Software / ERP
Working knowledge of SAP, Tally, or any computerized store systems for stock entries, purchase order tracking, and consumption records.

Record-Keeping Skills
Proper filing and documentation of:
Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)
Issue Slips
Purchase Orders
Vendor Invoices
Material Reconciliation Reports
Daily/Monthly Reporting
Consumption summaries, item-wise reports, aging reports.
🔍 4. Technical Knowledge (STP Specific)
Basic understanding of plant-related materials and consumables like:
Pipes, fittings, gaskets, valves, fasteners
Pump spares, motors, gearboxes
Electrical items like cables, MCBs, relays
Chemicals like PAC, lime, chlorine (for treatment process)

Storage Safety
Ensuring correct stacking, segregation of chemical/electrical/mechanical items.
MSDS Awareness
Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets for chemical storage.
Fire & Electrical Safety
Familiarity with basic fire safety procedures and emergency handling.

Coordinating with:
Procurement and Accounts team
Maintenance and Operation departments
Vendors and transporters
Material Indent Tracking
Following up on pending purchase orders and material requirement planning.
