Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify construction materials, tools, and equipment delivered at the site.
Maintain accurate records of material receipts, issues, returns, and stock balances.
Ensure proper storage and preservation of construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, pipes, electrical items, and finishing materials.
Issue materials to site engineers and contractors against approved material requisitions.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the procurement department for timely replenishment.
Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), stock registers, and inventory reports.
Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile inventory records.
Identify and report shortages, excess stock, damaged materials, and discrepancies.
Maintain proper documentation for inward and outward material movement.
Coordinate with project engineers, purchase teams, vendors, and subcontractors regarding material requirements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory procedures, and safety standards.
