Store Executive

Job Title: Stores Executive

Location: Madurai
Department: Stores / Inventory Management
Reporting to: Stores Manager/Project Manager

Job Purpose:

To efficiently manage inventory by receiving, storing, and issuing materials, maintaining accurate stock levels, and ensuring smooth material flow in accordance with company policies and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

   • Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular stock audits.

   • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.

   • Implement FIFO/LIFO practices as applicable.

2. Material Receipt & Inspection

   • Receive materials from vendors and inspect for quality and quantity as per purchase orders.

   • Coordinate with quality/engineering teams for material verification.

3. Storage & Documentation

   • Ensure proper storage and labeling of materials as per safety and category standards.

   • Maintain updated inward/outward register and stock cards.

   • Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Issue Slips, and other related documents.

4. Issue & Dispatch

   • Issue materials based on requisitions and maintain accurate records.

   • Coordinate dispatch of materials to project sites or departments.

5. Reporting & Coordination

   • Submit daily/weekly/monthly stock reports to management.

   • Coordinate with procurement, project, and finance teams for smooth operations.

6. Safety & Compliance

   • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the store area.

   • Comply with company policies, audit requirements, and statutory norms.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP or Tally preferred)

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Basic accounting and documentation skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Good communication and coordination ability
