Stone Maker

We are seeking a precise and detail-oriented Stone Maker to transform rough gemstones into high-quality, faceted, and polished jewels ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Rough Stones: Examine rough crystals to determine the best orientation, shape, and cut to maximize yield and color while minimizing inclusions.

• Cutting & Faceting: Pre-form, shape, and cut precise facets onto colored gemstones using professional lapidary equipment.

• Polishing: Select proper laps and polishing compounds to achieve a brilliant, scratch-free finish.

• Quality Inspection: Use a jeweler's loupe or microscope to ensure all finished stones meet strict symmetry, proportion, and dimensional standards.

• Maintenance: Safely operate and maintain specialized trim saws, faceting machines, and grinding wheels.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Proven professional experience as a lapidary, gem cutter, or facetor.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of gemstone structures, cleavage planes, and the Mohs hardness scale.

• Precision: Exceptional hand-eye coordination, steady hands, and patience for highly repetitive, detailed tasks.

• It is a Full Time Retail / Counter Sales job for candidates with 1 - 3 years of experience.
