Job Summary:
The Retail Sales Person will support day-to-day store operations by assisting customers, maintaining product displays, and achieving sales targets. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a customer-friendly attitude, and the ability to work closely under the guidance of the Store Manager. The individual will contribute to sales growth, customer satisfaction, and overall store efficiency.
Key Roles & Responsibilities.
1. Customer Assistance & Sales
-Greet customers and understand their requirements.
-Demonstrate products, share features/benefits, and help customers make purchase decisions.
-Work towards achieving individual and store sales targets.
-Provide excellent customer service and handle basic customer queries.
2. Store Operations Support
-Assist in the opening/closing of the store as per procedures.
-Maintain cleanliness, product arrangements, and visual display standards.
-Ensure product availability on shelves and support store upkeep.
3. Billing & Cash Handling
-Operate the POS/billing system for accurate and quick billing.
-Handle cash/card transactions responsibly.
-Maintain packaging material, carry bags, and assist customers during checkout.
4. Inventory & Stock Management
-Support in stock replenishment, counting, and daily stock maintenance.
-Assist during monthly stock audits and help reduce stock discrepancies.
-Coordinate with the Store Manager for low-stock or fast-moving items.
5. Coordination & Team Support
-Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and team members.
-Participate in training sessions related to product knowledge and sales skills.
-Follow store protocols, punctuality standards, and customer service guidelines.
