Job Description: Cake Shop Team Member

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Team Member to join our cake shop! In this role, you'll be a key part of our team, helping to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every customer has a delightful experience. You'll work closely with our bakers and decorators to keep the shop running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions about our products, and provide recommendations.

• Product Knowledge: Learn about our menu, including cakes, pastries, and drinks, and be able to describe ingredients and flavors to customers.

• Merchandising: Assist in keeping display cases and shelves clean, organized, and fully stocked.

• Food Safety & Hygiene: Follow all food safety regulations, including proper handwashing, sanitation of work areas, and safe handling of food products.

• Bakery Support: Assist bakers with simple tasks such as boxing cakes, preparing custom order labels, and organizing ingredients.

• General Duties: Keep the shop and dining area clean and tidy, including wiping down tables, sweeping, and taking out trash.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a retail, food service, or customer-facing role is a plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Friendly, positive attitude and a passion for great customer service.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Must be a team player who is willing to help out wherever needed.
