An Executive or a Picker Packer is a crucial employee responsible for receiving, picking, scanning, and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently to ensure orders are delivered to customers on time.
Key tasks involve operating computers, working on excel sheets, performing quality checks for defects, labeling, packaging and making orders ready for delivery.
This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and often the ability to work for long hours in standing posture (with breaks)
Key Responsibilities:
• Stock Receiving: Receive incoming trays and stocks of cakes and pastries and store them correctly in cold storages.
• Order Receiving: Acknowledges orders, Coordinate with kitchen to ensure cake orders are made on time, as per Guest requirement and as per Company standards
• Order Picking: Locating and selecting items from shelves based on invoices or electronic scanners.
• Packing: Preparing items for delivery by packing them as per company standards, ensuring accuracy to prevent damages or mistakes. Check customer requests for message on cake/call customer if needed, request for good rating and positive feedback (Customer centric, good communication and positivity) and ensure delivery riders pick correct orders and on time.
• Inventory Control: Maintaining inventory records, restocking shelves, and verifying product quality/quantities.
• Store Operations: Utilizing technology, such as scanners or computers, to keep inventory up to date.
• Safety & Maintenance: Adhering to safety standards, keeping the work area clean and orderly, and complying with company policies.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Freshers are welcomed, min 12th Pass.
• Communication Skills: Should have decent communication skills and ability to read and understand basic English (Kitchen Orders/Excel sheets/Emails etc).
• Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of computers like excel and word, email.
• Personality: Good self-confidence, communication and interpersonal skills. Working Conditions
• Environment: Stores or distribution centre, which may involve hot/cold temperatures.
• Shifts: Rotational shifts, with 10 hours duty, shift timings can be early morning (example 7am) or up to late night (example 2am).
Should be comfortable with long shifts (up to 10 hrs, standing for long hours at a stretch and ready to work in high pressure environment.
