Retail Sales Jewellery Salesman

We are looking for a confident, customer-focused, and target-oriented Jewellery Salesman to join our showroom team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting jewellery, explaining product specifications and pricing, achieving sales targets, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring a high-quality showroom experience.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and selling skills, a professional appearance, and a genuine interest in jewellery and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Handling

Welcome customers warmly and understand their jewellery requirements.

Ask relevant questions to understand the customer's budget, preferences, occasion, and style.

Provide personalized recommendations based on customer needs.

Handle customers professionally and patiently throughout the buying process.

Maintain a positive relationship with existing and new customers.

2. Jewellery Sales

Present gold, diamond, silver, platinum, gemstone, and other jewellery products to customers.

Explain product details, designs, weight, purity, making charges, stone quality, and pricing as applicable.

Demonstrate different products and suggest suitable alternatives within the customer's budget.

Upsell and cross-sell relevant products and accessories.

Negotiate and close sales according to company

policies.

Achieve individual and showroom sales targets.

3. Product Knowledge

Maintain detailed knowledge of jewellery collections, designs, materials, and product specifications.

Understand basic concepts such as gold purity, karat, diamond characteristics, gemstones, and jewellery making.

Stay informed about new collections, seasonal products, promotions, and market trends.

Clearly communicate product benefits and differences to customers.

4. Customer Relationship Management

Maintain records of customer enquiries and purchases as required.

Follow up with customers regarding quotations, enquiries, new collections, and special occasions.

Develop long-term relationships to generate repeat and referral business.

Inform customers about new launches, offers, and promotional events.

Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.

5. Showroom Operations

Maintain attractive and organized jewellery displays.

Ensure products are handled carefully and displayed according to company procedures.

Assist with stock verification and product movement when required.

Follow all showroom security and jewellery-handling procedures.

Maintain cleanliness and professional presentation of the sales area.

Support billing and documentation processes when required.

6. Sales Target & Performance

Work toward daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Monitor personal sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Participate in showroom promotions and sales campaigns.

Work effectively with colleagues to achieve overall showroom targets.

Provide regular updates to the Sales Manager or Showroom Manager
