Garment Merchandiser

The Garment Merchandiser will act as the key coordination link between buyers, production teams,and suppliers to ensure smooth order execution from sampling to final shipment. The role involves

managing order timelines, costings, quality expectations, and communication to ensure on-time and profitable delivery of garments as per buyer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with buyers regarding order details, specifications, and timelines

• Manage sampling process including fit samples, pre-production samples, and approvals

• Prepare order sheets, tech pack follow-ups, and production briefs

• Coordinate with production, cutting, stitching, washing, and finishing teams

• Track production schedules and ensure on-time order completion

• Follow up with fabric and trim suppliers for timely material availability

• Monitor order costing and help control production expenses

• Ensure buyer quality standards are communicated clearly to the QC team

• Handle buyer feedback and corrective action implementation

• Maintain merchandising reports, order trackers, and status updates

Key Skills & Competencies

1. Strong knowledge of garment production processes and workflows

2. Understanding of fabrics, trims, washing processes, and garment construction

3. Ability to interpret tech packs, measurement charts, and buyer specifications

4. Basic costing knowledge and order profitability understanding

5. Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and ERP systems (if applicable)

6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills

7. Buyer handling and relationship management skills

8. Languages: English & Hindi required; Bengali preferred (optional).

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Fashion Technology, Textile, Merchandising, or related field

• 2–5 years of experience in garment merchandising (manufacturing/export house preferred)

Budgeted CTC for the role: 20,000- 40,000 per month

Working days and working hours:

1. Working Days: Monday to Saturday

2. Working Hours: 10am to 7pm

• It is a Full Time Retail / Counter Sales job for candidates with 2 - 6 years of experience.
