Job Summary
The Café Manager will be responsible for the overall daily operations, staff supervision, sales growth, customer service excellence and maintaining hygiene & quality standards at the café. The role demands strong leadership, people management and business acumen to ensure seamless café functioning and revenue achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day café activities including kitchen, service area & cash counter operations.
Ensure smooth workflow, timely order delivery & quality presentation.
Implement SOPs for food safety, customer handling & equipment usage.
Maintain highest hygiene & sanitization standards.
Staff Management
Manage and supervise café staff including baristas, chefs, cashiers & service crew. Prepare staff duty rosters, track attendance, shift allocation & discipline.
Conduct training on product knowledge, service etiquette & upselling techniques.
Drive team productivity while maintaining a positive work environment.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team handling capabilities
Good communication and customer-relations skills
Knowledge of beverages, food preparation and café service standards
Experience in POS handling, billing & cash reconciliation
Inventory control, vendor coordination and cost management
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Problem solving, decision-making & training abilities
Educational Qualification
Graduate/Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred
Experience from Café, Bakery, QSR, F&B chains like CCD, Starbucks, KFC, McDonald’s etc. will be an added advantage
