Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Assist the Store Incharge in day-to-day store operations
Receive, inspect, and verify materials, tools, and equipment as per PO / challans
Maintain accurate stock records in ERP / registers (GRN, issue, return)
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of materials
Issue materials to departments as per approved Material Requisition Slips (MRS)
Monitor inventory levels and support stock planning to avoid shortages or overstocking
Conduct periodic stock verification / physical inventory
Maintain FIFO / LIFO practices as applicable
Coordinate with procurement, QA/QC, production, and site teams
Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping (5S) standards
Handle material returns, scrap, and surplus items properly
Maintain documentation for inward, outward, and stock movement
Support audits by providing required store records and reports
Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the Store Incharge immediately

Required Skills

Knowledge of storekeeping and inventory control
Basic understanding of engineering / industrial materials
Familiarity with ERP systems / MS Excel
Attention to detail and accountability
