Service engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission HVAC systems (AHUs, VRF/VRV systems, split ACs, etc.)

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment

• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, sensors, and control systems

• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals

• Ensure optimal system performance and energy efficiency

• Handle refrigerants safely and in compliance with regulations

• Maintain service records and prepare detailed reports

• Provide on-site technical support and customer guidance

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams

• Follow safety standards and company procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / HVAC / Refrigeration

• 1–5 years of experience in HVAC servicing (varies by role level)

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components

• Understanding of electrical systems and controls

• Familiarity with tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment

• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently and in field environments

• Basic computer skills (MS Office, service software)

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of energy-efficient systems and green HVAC solutions

• Certification in HVAC or refrigeration handling (if applicable)

Working Conditions

• Field-based role requiring travel to client sites

• May involve working in shifts or on-call support

• Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems
