The Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems in stainless steel water coolers. This includes both in-factory setup and on-site service support. The technician should have a strong understanding of vapor compression systems, copper piping, brazing, and basic electrical components used in commercial cooling systems.
Assembly & Installation (Factory-based)
Install refrigeration systems in water coolers as per design drawings and SOPs
Charge refrigerant (R134a/R290 or as specified) and ensure leak-free operation
Perform brazing and copper pipe fitting
Mount and wire up compressor, condenser, fan motor, thermostat, and overload relays
Perform vacuuming and pressure testing of systems before charging
Ensure proper insulation and vibration reduction techniques are applied
Conduct functional tests for cooling performance and temperature cutoff
Check for system leaks using nitrogen pressure and vacuum gauges
Record test results batch-wise for production QC logs
Attend service calls to troubleshoot cooling faults, gas leaks, compressor failures
Replace faulty components such as thermostats, capacitors, relays, etc.
Refill gas and test pressure integrity post-repair
Submit field reports for service calls and warranty cases
Maintain job sheets and batch-level checklists
Coordinate with production and service teams to close daily tasks
Update refrigerant usage logs and repair reports
