RAC Technician

Qualification: ITI RAC, or Diploma in Mech. Engg.

Responsibilities include: 

• Routine maintenance: Performing regular checks and inspections on refrigeration equipment as per the checklist and maintenance schedule.

• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues and fixing them as they arise.

• Equipment operation: Ensuring equipment is operating at the correct capacity.

• Safety: Adhering to company safety rules and regulations.

• Training: Participating in department training.

• Teamwork: Assisting other personnel with their duties.

• Reporting: Developing proper reports and records, and reporting any abnormalities to higher authorities.

• Maintain a minimum stock of consumables and spares.

• Adherence to procedures as per the equipment manufacturer manual and/ or departmental manual.

• Check and maintain PPEs in good working condition and document the work done.

• Good Housekeeping in the refrigeration plant, oil storage area and control room.

• Train the refrigeration plant helper in safety related to plant operations.

• Unloading and storing safely all deliveries related to refrigeration.

• Inspects and accepts the refrigeration plant spares and consumables on delivery.

• Keep safety-related documents in a legible manner and in clear view.

• Maintain the electric panels and Distribution Boards in a safe and operating condition.

• Maintain the control room and SCADA panel in a safe manner.

• Periodically check the man-trap alarms, door heaters, drain heaters, door cooperation systems in Cold Storage and Ante Rooms, Ammonia leak detection systems, and their panels. Report any abnormalities immediately.

• Adhere to IQFPL GMP practices and procedures, safety policy and Food Safety policy.

• Must be able to work at heights and must know basic electrical knowledge.

• Must be able to read and understand P& I diagrams and electrical wiring diagrams.

• It is a Full Time Refrigerator & AC Technician job for candidates with 1 - 4 years of experience.
