HVAC Technician – Job Description

Job Title: HVAC Technician

Department: Service & Maintenance

Location: [kathwada,Ahmedabad]

We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.

• Perform preventive maintenance as per scheduled service plans.

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC equipment.

• Inspect and test system components to ensure proper operation.

• Replace defective parts such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, valves, filters, and control components.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.

• Charge, recover, and handle refrigerants in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Maintain service reports and documentation for completed work.

• Ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations.

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and customer service calls.

• Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and the service team to ensure timely completion of work.

Required Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC installation and maintenance (Freshers may also apply for trainee positions).

• Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and preventive maintenance.

• Ability to use testing and diagnostic equipment.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Valid driving license (preferred).
