Job Summary
The AC Technician is responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across all SIMS Retail Pharmacy outlets. The role ensures uninterrupted cooling systems to maintain a comfortable shopping environment and proper storage conditions for temperature-sensitive medicines.
Key Responsibilities
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair split ACs, cassette ACs, ductable units, package ACs, and refrigeration equipment installed at retail pharmacy outlets.
Perform preventive maintenance as per the scheduled maintenance plan.
Attend breakdown complaints from pharmacy outlets and restore equipment within the defined turnaround time.
Monitor the performance of air conditioning systems to ensure optimal cooling for medicine storage and customer comfort.
Inspect refrigerant levels, identify leaks, and carry out gas charging when required.
Clean air filters, evaporator coils, condenser coils, drainage lines, and blower units.
Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs, AMC services, and warranty-related work.
Maintain service reports, preventive maintenance checklists, and equipment history records.
Ensure proper functioning of refrigeration units used for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products.
Minimize equipment downtime through timely maintenance and prompt response to service requests.
Ensure compliance with safety standards while carrying out maintenance activities.
Travel to multiple retail pharmacy outlets for scheduled and emergency maintenance work.
Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure all work areas are left clean after service completion.
Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.
