Job Summary:
The HR Payroll Executive is responsible for managing and processing the organization’s payroll accurately and on time. This includes ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, maintaining employee records, handling payroll queries, coordinating with finance for disbursements, and supporting audits. The role also involves assisting in other HR operations related to compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll for all employees on a monthly basis.
Collect and verify attendance, leave records, overtime, and other payroll inputs.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including salary structure, deductions, and revisions.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like PF, ESI, TDS, Gratuity, and Labour Welfare Fund.
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns (EPF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.).
Handle employee queries related to salaries, tax deductions, and payslips.
Coordinate with the Finance team for payroll disbursement.
Generate payroll reports, salary registers, and reconciliation statements.
Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll and HR.
Maintain confidentiality and security of employee payroll data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, HR, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in payroll processing and HR operations.
Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g., GreytHR, Keka, Zoho Payroll, etc.).
Familiarity with Indian labor laws and statutory compliance.
Excellent MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree/diploma in HR or Payroll Management.
Experience in handling payroll for 100+ employees.
Exposure to HRMS/ERP systems.
