Collect and verify employee attendance, leave records, overtime, and other inputs.
Calculate salaries, wages, bonuses, incentives, and deductions (PF, ESI, TDS, loan, etc.).
Process monthly payroll and ensure timely disbursement of salaries.
Ensure compliance with statutory laws such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Gratuity, and other labor laws.
File monthly/quarterly/annual statutory returns (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.).
Stay updated on changes in payroll-related legislation.
Maintain accurate employee data in HRMS/payroll software.
Handle new joiner formalities like salary structure creation and exit formalities including full & final settlements.
Keep records of payslips, reimbursement claims, and payroll adjustments.
Generate payroll reports for management (salary registers, cost-to-company, headcount reports).
Assist in budgeting and financial planning with payroll data.
Provide data for audits and internal compliance checks.
Address payroll-related queries of employees (salary breakup, deductions, tax queries).
Educate employees on salary structures, benefits, and tax-saving options.
Work with HRMS/ERP payroll systems for automation and accuracy.
Ensure data confidentiality and security in payroll operations.
Continuously improve payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy.
