Job Summary
An IT Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified IT professionals for various technical positions. The recruiter works closely with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and ensures timely closure of open positions while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
Key Responsibilities
Understand technical job requirements from hiring managers.
Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, employee referrals, social media, and internal databases.
Screen resumes based on technical skills, experience, and client requirements.
Conduct initial HR and technical screening calls.
Schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Coordinate interview feedback and communicate updates to candidates.
Negotiate salary, notice period, and employment terms.
Perform reference and background checks when required.
Maintain candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
Ensure recruitment targets and turnaround time (TAT) are achieved.
Prepare and share recruitment reports with management.
Maintain excellent candidate relationships throughout the hiring process.
Required Skills
Knowledge of the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle.
Experience with sourcing through LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, Monster, and other job portals.
Familiarity with IT technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, DevOps, Cloud, Data Engineering, SAP, Salesforce, QA, Networking, Cybersecurity, and AI/ML.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple requirements simultaneously.
Good organizational and documentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience using ATS or recruitment tools is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
Certification in Talent Acquisition or HR (preferred but not mandatory).
