The HR Recruitment Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process to attract, screen, and hire qualified candidates for roles within the immigration office. The role requires collaboration with department heads to understand staffing needs and ensure the recruitment process is efficient, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies for various roles within the immigration office.
Prepare and post job advertisements on internal and external platforms.
Screen applications and shortlist candidates based on job criteria.
Conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate further assessments/interviews with relevant departments.
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with labor laws, immigration policies, and internal hiring guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of candidates and recruitment activities using HRMS or applicant tracking systems.
Manage onboarding processes for new hires, including documentation, background checks, and induction programs.
Liaise with external recruitment agencies or consultants when needed.
Contribute to diversity and inclusion hiring practices.
Provide regular reports and updates to HR leadership on recruitment metrics and hiring status.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years of experience in recruitment or HR, preferably in government, legal, or immigration-related fields.
Familiarity with employment laws and immigration procedures.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with MS Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Discretion in handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of visa processing, immigration documentation, or consular services.
Experience working in a multicultural environment.
