Position: HR/Recruitment Manager

To lead and execute manpower planning, recruitment, and retention strategies for Meadowkart’s Kolkata operations. The HR/Recruitment Manager will ensure timely hiring of qualified talent (delivery staff, plant workers, supervisors, sales executives, and back-office staff), establish HR processes, and build a high-performance workforce aligned with company goals.
Understand operational manpower needs (delivery, plant, sales, admin) and create monthly/quarterly hiring plans.
Coordinate with department heads for role-specific requirements.
Source candidates via job portals (Naukri, Apna, LinkedIn, etc.), manpower agencies, and local channels.
Conduct screening, interviews, and background checks.
Build a pipeline for bulk hiring (delivery boys, packers, helpers).
Ensure smooth onboarding, documentation, and induction.
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with manpower suppliers.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure cost-effective, quality hiring.
Design incentive programs to retain delivery boys, sales staff, and plant workers.
Resolve employee grievances and improve work culture.
Reduce attrition by building loyalty and performance-linked rewards.
Maintain employee database, attendance, and payroll coordination.
Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.).
Draft HR policies, contracts, and SOPs for all roles.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
3–6 years of experience in recruitment/HR (preferably in FMCG, logistics, e-commerce, or delivery-based businesses).
Strong network with manpower agencies and local recruiters in Kolkata.
Ability to handle bulk recruitment under tight timelines.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and people management skills.
Hands-on with MS Excel, HRMS tools, and job portals.
