Core Job Roles of an HR Manager1. Recruitment & StaffingManaging the full recruitment cycle (job postings, screening, interviews, onboarding).Creating job descriptions and coordinating with department heads.Ensuring timely hiring to meet organisational needs.2. Employee Onboarding & TrainingDesigning and conducting onboarding programs for new employees.Identifying training needs and arranging skill-development programs.Maintaining employee training records.3. Employee RelationsHandling employee queries, grievances, and conflicts.Promoting a positive work culture and improving employee engagement.Conducting regular meetings, feedback sessions, and counselling.4. Performance ManagementImplementing appraisal systems and KPIs.Monitoring employee performance and giving guidance for improvement.Supporting managers during performance review cycles.5. Payroll & ComplianceEnsuring accurate payroll processing in coordination with accounts.Managing attendance, leaves, and employee documentation.Ensuring compliance with labour laws, company policies, and statutory regulations (PF, ESIC, gratuity, etc.).6. HR Policies & DocumentationCreating and updating HR policies and employee handbooks.Maintaining personnel files, contracts, and confidential records.Ensuring smooth HR operations through proper documentation.7.
