About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and professional HR Head / Head of Human Resources to lead our complete HR function across the organization.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in HR management, recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, HR policies, payroll coordination, compliance, and team management, preferably in the EdTech, education, university, college, training, or education consultancy sector.
The candidate will be responsible for building a productive workforce, improving employee processes, supporting business growth, and ensuring smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Management
Manage and oversee the complete HR department and daily HR operations.
Develop and implement effective HR policies, procedures, and processes.
Ensure proper employee documentation and HR records.
Handle employee-related issues professionally and confidentially.
Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Plan and manage recruitment requirements across departments.
Handle end-to-end recruitment for management, counselling, sales, academic, operations, and support teams.
Develop effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
Coordinate interviews, selection, offer letters, onboarding, and joining formalities.
Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline.
3. Employee Management
Manage employee onboarding and induction programs.
Monitor employee attendance, leave, discipline, and workplace conduct.
Handle employee grievances and resolve workplace issues.
Improve employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Conduct regular employee feedback and HR discussions.
4. Performance Management
Develop and implement employee performance management systems.
Coordinate KRAs, KPIs, appraisals, and performance reviews.
Work with department heads to identify performance gaps.
Develop performance improvement plans where required.
Support managers in setting clear employee goals.
5. Payroll & HR Administration
Coordinate monthly payroll processing with the accounts/finance team.
Ensure accurate attendance, salary, incentives, deductions, and leave records.
Manage employee files, joining documents, salary records, and HR databases.
Coordinate full & final settlement and exit formalities.
6. HR Policies & Compliance
Develop and regularly update HR policies according to organizational requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour and employment regulations.
Maintain proper employee documentation and statutory records.
Coordinate with external consultants for HR/legal compliance whenever required.
7. Training & Development
Identify employee training and development requirements.
Organize training programs for sales, counselling, operations, and support teams.
Support leadership development and employee growth initiatives.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
8. HR Strategy & Business Support
Work closely with management to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Prepare manpower plans based on organizational growth requirements.
Provide HR reports and workforce insights to management.
Support organizational restructuring and expansion when required.
Develop systems that improve employee productivity and operational efficiency.
9. Education Industry HR Responsibilities
Manage recruitment for counsellors, admission executives, sales teams, academic staff, trainers, coordinators, and administrative employees.
Understand the manpower requirements of EdTech, university, college, and education consultancy operations.
Support rapid hiring during admission and campaign seasons.
Help build high-performing admission, counselling, sales, and academic teams.

Qualification
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources preferred.
Master's or Bachelor's degree with relevant HR experience may also be considered.
HR certifications will be an added advantage.
