Job Description

The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resource management, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies. The role focuses on fostering a positive workplace culture and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain qualified talent.

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.

  • Collaborate with department heads to identify workforce needs and succession planning.

2. Employee Relations

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and conflict resolution.

  • Promote open communication and a positive workplace culture.

  • Handle disciplinary actions and grievance procedures in line with company policy.

3. Performance Management

  • Design and implement performance appraisal systems.

  • Support managers in setting goals, providing feedback, and managing performance issues.

  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and employee recognition.

4. Training & Development

  • Assess training needs and coordinate employee learning programs.

  • Support leadership and career development initiatives.

  • Maintain training records and evaluate program effectiveness.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and employee compensation structures.

  • Benchmark salary data to ensure competitiveness.

  • Recommend improvements to compensation and benefits programs.

6. Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.

  • Maintain HR records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.

  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures as needed.

7. Strategic HR Planning

  • Contribute to organizational strategy through workforce planning and analytics.

  • Support change management initiatives.

  • Partner with senior management on employee engagement and retention strategies.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience: 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • Certifications (Preferred): SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, or equivalent.

  • Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

    • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS, ATS) and MS Office.

    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
