About the Company:
We are a well-established medium-sized foundry specializing in Cast Iron (CI) and Spheroidal Graphite Iron (SGI) castings. Our operations are built on precision, performance, and people. We are seeking a dynamic HR professional who understands the nuances of the manufacturing and foundry environment and can contribute to workforce stability, compliance, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, especially for shop-floor and technical positions
Ensure timely induction and training of new employees, including safety and compliance orientation
Foster strong employee relations and handle grievances with empathy and firmness
Promote employee motivation and retention strategies, especially for blue-collar and contract workers
Lead employee engagement initiatives across departments, including production teams
Coordinate timekeeping, attendance, and payroll inputs in coordination with accounts/ERP team
Ensure compliance with labour laws, factory act, and statutory norms (PF, ESIC, bonus, gratuity, etc.)
Support and manage shift-wise manpower planning in coordination with production heads
Conduct periodic training on shop floor discipline, safety, and teamwork
Maintain updated HR records, reports, and documentation for audits and inspections
Assist in internal audits, ISO/TS/IATF documentation related to HR and training
Facilitate performance reviews and support skill development for shop floor and office staff
Industry-Specific Skills:
Understanding of foundry shop-floor environment and labour dynamics
Experience in managing contract labour and third-party workforce compliance
Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing/foundry units (e.g., SAP, Tally, Foundry ERP)
Knowledge of occupational health, safety standards, and industrial relations practices
Practical knowledge of shift management and manpower rotation
Ability to communicate effectively with both skilled/unskilled workers and management
Key Requirements:
Graduate/Postgraduate in HR, Business Administration, or related field
1-3 years of experience in manufacturing/foundry/engineering industries
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
Strong understanding of labour laws and statutory obligations
Hands-on experience with MS Office and HR software
