To ensure smooth functioning of the Outpatient Department by coordinating patient flow, assisting doctors and staff, and maintaining high-quality service and patient satisfaction.
Patient Management & Coordination
Manage patient registration, appointment scheduling, and queue system.
Guide patients for eye check-ups, diagnostic tests, and consultation rooms.
Ensure elderly/disabled patients receive required support.
Address patient queries politely and direct them to appropriate departments.
Operational Support
Coordinate between doctors, optometrists, counselors, and pharmacy for smooth patient flow.
Maintain OPD daily schedule and ensure doctors are informed of appointments.
Monitor waiting time and take steps to reduce patient inconvenience.
Supervise OPD support staff for efficiency and discipline.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily OPD statistics (number of patients, procedures, follow-ups).
Ensure accurate entry of patient records in HMS (Hospital Management System).
Assist in preparing MIS reports for management review.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure OPD area cleanliness, patient safety, and infection control practices.
Monitor adherence to hospital protocols and standards.
Handle patient complaints and escalate to higher authority if required.
Administrative & Communication
Coordinate with reception, billing, and insurance teams for patient services.
Assist in planning OPD schedules, health camps, and special clinic days.
Communicate updates to staff regarding any schedule/doctor changes.
