Job Description

A restaurant host or hostess greets arriving guests, manages seating charts, and handles reservations. They serve as the primary face of the establishment, controlling the flow of the dining room to ensure a smooth and organized experience

Guest Relations and Seating

Welcoming: Greet customers warmly as they walk in and set a friendly tone for the meal.
Seating: Escort guests to their tables, hand out menus, and introduce the assigned server.
Wait Times: Estimate and track wait times accurately when the restaurant is full
Reservations and Administration
- Bookings: Answer phone calls and manage reservation software or physical books.
- Coordination: Balance table rotations so that individual servers do not get overloaded with too many customers at once.
- Inquiries: Answer basic questions regarding the menu, daily specials, and restaurant hours.Support Tasks
  - Cleanliness: Keep the front entrance, waiting area, and menus tidy and clean.
  - Teamwork: Assist servers or busboys with clearing tables, refilling water, or running takeout orders during busy rushes
