Manager cum Chef – Cafe Laapata

Location: Sarjapur Road / Kada Agrahara, Bengaluru

Cafe Laapata is looking for a responsible, energetic, and hands-on Manager cum Chef to manage daily cafe operations while preparing delicious food with consistent taste and quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Kitchen & Food Preparation

• Prepare cafe menu items, including snacks, sandwiches, burgers, Maggi, parathas, chaat, and other fast-food dishes.

• Maintain consistent taste, portion sizes, presentation, and food quality.

• Manage kitchen operations, food preparation, and timely order fulfilment.

• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen.

2. Cafe Operations & Management

• Manage daily opening and closing activities.

• Supervise staff, allocate duties, and maintain discipline.

• Handle dine-in, takeaway, and online orders from platforms such as Swiggy and Zomato.

• Ensure smooth operations during peak business hours.

• Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.

3. Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor stock levels and maintain inventory records.

• Manage raw material procurement and minimize food wastage.

• Maintain portion control and control kitchen costs.

• Check product quality, expiry dates, and storage conditions.

4. Billing & Reporting

• Handle billing and cash management when required.

• Maintain daily sales, purchase, and stock records.

• Coordinate with the cafe owners on sales, expenses, and operational requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, QSR, or fast-food kitchen is preferred.

• Practical cooking skills and the ability to independently manage kitchen operations.

• Basic knowledge of inventory management, food costing, and staff supervision.

• Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily operations.

• Knowledge of Kannada is an added advantage.
