Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Plumber to handle plumbing maintenance and repair activities at a hostel facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of water supply, drainage, sanitary fittings, and plumbing systems across hostel rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend and resolve daily plumbing complaints from hostel rooms and common areas.

• Repair and maintain water supply and drainage pipelines.

• Attend water leakage, pipe blockage, low-pressure, and overflow complaints.

• Maintain and repair toilets, wash basins, taps, showers, flush systems, and other sanitary fittings.

• Check and maintain water tanks, valves, pumps, and associated plumbing connections.

• Carry out plumbing work in hostel rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, utility areas, and common facilities.

• Attend emergency plumbing breakdowns and ensure quick resolution.

• Carry out preventive maintenance to avoid recurring plumbing issues.

• Identify damaged pipes, fittings, valves, and sanitary fixtures and recommend replacements.

• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping after completing repair work.

• Follow all required safety procedures while carrying out maintenance activities.
  

Eligibility & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Plumbing or relevant technical qualification preferred.

• 2–5 years of relevant plumbing experience.

• Experience in hostels, hotels, residential apartments, hospitals, or facility management is preferred.

• Good knowledge of plumbing tools, fittings, pipelines, drainage, and sanitary systems.

• Ability to attend complaints and resolve plumbing issues independently.
