Position: Plumber
Department: Maintenance / Facility Management
Reporting To: Facility Manager / Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
Attend plumbing maintenance requirements for Hospital, College, Office, and Residential facilities as assigned.
Carry out installation, repair, and maintenance of water supply lines, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, and plumbing equipment.
Respond promptly to plumbing complaints and emergency breakdowns from various locations.
Coordinate with facility teams and visit different sites based on work requirements.
Inspect plumbing systems regularly and identify preventive maintenance needs.
Repair leakages, blocked pipelines, faucets, flush systems, valves, pumps, and related plumbing fixtures.
Monitor overhead tanks, underground tanks, water pumps, and distribution systems.
Ensure uninterrupted water supply and proper functioning of sanitary systems.
Maintain records of complaints attended, repairs completed, and materials used.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement of plumbing materials when required.
Follow safety procedures and comply with hospital, college, office, and residential facility regulations.
Support other maintenance activities related to facility operations whenever required.
Report major repairs, material requirements, and recurring issues to the Facility Manager.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas after completing maintenance activities.
Be available for emergency call-outs and after-hours support when necessary.
Skills & Requirements:
ITI / Diploma in Plumbing or relevant trade certification preferred.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in facility maintenance plumbing.
Knowledge of water supply systems, drainage systems, pumps, sanitary fittings, and plumbing tools.
Ability to travel between multiple locations as per operational requirements.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
Work Nature:
The plumber will be stationed at a central location and deployed to Hospital, College, Office, and Residential facilities based on maintenance requirements.
Responsible for both preventive and breakdown maintenance across all assigned locations.
