Job Summary
The General Helper provides essential support to lead technicians, craftsmen, or management by performing a variety of manual tasks. The goal is to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting with the daily operations of the facility or site.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support: Assist senior staff with various tasks including loading and unloading materials, moving heavy equipment, and prepping workspaces.
Site Maintenance: Keep work areas, tools, and machinery clean and organized. Ensure all waste and debris are disposed of according to safety protocols.
Inventory Management: Help receive deliveries, check packing slips against physical stock, and organize storage rooms or warehouses.
Tool Handling: Retrieve, clean, and maintain hand tools or power equipment as requested by skilled workers.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like helmets, gloves, and boots.
Skills & Qualifications
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (often up to 20–25kg), and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Reliability: Strong punctuality and a consistent work ethic.
Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn new skills on the job and assist in different departments as needed.
