Painter

• Cleaning and Repairing:

  Wash, scrape, sand, and fill holes and cracks on walls and other surfaces to create a smooth base for painting. 

• Protection:

  Cover furniture, fixtures, floors, and other surfaces with plastic or cloth to prevent paint splatter. 

• Fixture Removal:

  Remove pictures, doorknobs, light switch covers, and other fixtures before starting the painting process. 

Painting and Finishing 

• Color Mixing:

  Mix and match paints to achieve the desired color, tint, and texture specified by the client or project.

• Application:

  Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, and other structural elements using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.

• Touch-ups:

  Perform touch-ups or apply additional coats of paint as needed to ensure an even finish.

Site Management and Safety

• Scaffolding and Access:

  Erect scaffolding, staging, and rigging as required to access high or difficult-to-reach areas. 

• Material Management:

  Calculate the amount of paint and other materials needed and purchase them from vendors. 

• Cleanup:

  Clean up all tools, equipment, and the work area, ensuring it is neat and organized after the project is complete. 

• Safety Compliance:

  Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, including proper use of equipment and handling of hazardous materials.
