Job Description

Position: Painter – Special Finish Worker

Department: Paint Shop

Location: Factory

Industry: Steel / Modular Furniture Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Special Finish Paint Worker with hands-on experience in decorative and custom paint finishes on metal/steel furniture. The candidate should be capable of delivering high-quality finishes as per design samples and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

Apply special paint finishes such as texture, metallic, antique, rustic, matt, gloss, and custom finishes on steel furniture
Perform surface preparation including sanding, putty application, priming, and buffing
Handle spray painting using airless / HVLP spray guns
Ensure shade matching and finish consistency as per approved samples
Carry out PU paint finishing and special coating touch-ups
Identify and rectify paint defects (orange peel, sagging, pinholes, shade variation)
Maintain finish quality standards and minimize rework
Follow paint shop SOPs, safety norms, and ISO guidelines
Coordinate with QC and Production teams for approvals and batch completion

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2–5 years experience in special finish painting
Hands-on experience in metal / steel furniture painting
Knowledge of PU paints, primers, textures, and metallic finishes
Ability to work on custom orders and sample development
Understanding of paint thickness, drying cycles, and finish control
Experience in factory-based paint shop environment preferred

Education

ITI / Diploma (Preferred but not mandatory)
Practical skill and experience will be given priority
