Technician

Accura Eye Care is looking for a skilled and dedicated OT Technician (Ophthalmology) with hands-on experience in Phaco surgery, cataract surgery assistance, and VR (Vitreoretinal) surgery assistance. The candidate should have a good understanding of ophthalmic surgical procedures, OT preparation, instrument handling, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.

Key Requirements

• Hands-on experience in Phacoemulsification (Phaco) surgery.

• Experience assisting surgeons during cataract surgeries.

• Experience assisting during VR (Vitreoretinal) surgeries.

• Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical instruments, equipment, and machines.

• Understanding of OT protocols, sterilization, and infection control.

• Knowledge of patient preparation, positioning, and intraoperative assistance.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and OT staff.

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a responsible work ethic.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during Phaco, cataract, VR (Vitreoretinal), and other ophthalmic surgical procedures.

• Prepare and maintain the operation theatre before, during, and after surgeries.

• Arrange, check, and handle ophthalmic surgical instruments and equipment.

• Prepare and assist with Phaco machines and other specialized surgical equipment.

• Support the surgical team during vitreoretinal procedures by ensuring the availability and readiness of required instruments and equipment.

• Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and maintain aseptic conditions.

• Assist with patient positioning and pre-operative preparation.

• Follow hospital protocols for infection control, patient safety, and OT hygiene.

• Monitor the availability of surgical consumables and maintain OT stock.

• Maintain OT records and ensure proper documentation.

• Coordinate with surgeons and the OT team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical operations.

• It is a Full Time Nurse / Compounder job for candidates with 6 months - 3 years of experience.
