Patient Care and Assessment
Direct Care:
Provide bedside care, assist with daily needs like bathing and feeding, and ensure patient comfort and hygiene.
Monitoring:
Closely observe and record patients' vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and overall health, reporting any changes to the doctor.
Medication Administration:
Administer prescribed medications, including injections, infusions, and other treatments, according to doctor's orders.
Collaboration and Coordination
Teamwork:
Work closely with physicians, other nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Patient Movement:
Manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring a smooth transition of care.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and charts, documenting observations and treatment outcomes.
