Staff Nurse

A Neuro ICU Nurse provides specialized critical care to patients with severe neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, seizures, and post-neurosurgery cases. They monitor neurological status, manage life-support systems, administer medications, and respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions. The role requires expertise in neuro-assessment, ventilator management, and critical care protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess neurological status using GCS, pupil checks, and ICP monitoring.

• Administer medications, including sedation and anti-seizure drugs.

• Manage ventilators, IV drips, and other critical care equipment.

• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams for patient care.

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for neuro patients.

• Document patient status, interventions, and response accurately.

• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery expectations.

• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with ICU experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy and critical care principles.

• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
