The ICU Caregiver provides compassionate support and essential assistance to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Working under the supervision of nurses and physicians, the caregiver ensures patient comfort, hygiene, safety, and emotional well-being while maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist ICU nurses in daily patient care, including bathing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor and report changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff.
Support mobility and repositioning of patients to prevent bedsores.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of patient rooms, beds, and equipment.
Help with transferring patients using proper safety techniques.
Ensure emotional comfort by communicating empathetically with patients and families.
Adhere to infection control and hospital safety protocols at all times.
Assist in preparing and maintaining patient records and charts as directed.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; caregiver or nursing assistant certification preferred.
Experience in ICU or hospital patient care is an advantage.
Knowledge of basic patient care, hygiene, and infection control practices.
Strong communication and observation skills.
Physically fit and able to handle demanding shifts.
