Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse. They are responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and delivering nursing care, administering medications, maintaining patient records, and supporting the overall care team to ensure high-quality, compassionate healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in collaboration with healthcare team members.

• Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.

• Assist with diagnostic tests and interpret results as required.

• Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families.

• Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.

• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.

• Participate in nursing rounds, staff meetings, and continuous professional development activities.

• Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid or resuscitation as needed.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

• Valid Nursing License (e.g., RN license)

• CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS/PALS may be required depending on department)

• Minimum [X] years of clinical nursing experience preferred (can vary by employer)

• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills

Working Conditions:

• Shift-based work including nights, weekends, and holidays

• May involve standing for long periods and lifting/moving patients or equipment

• Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and other healthcare-related risks (PPE provided)
