1. Qualification Required

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institute

• Valid registration with State Nursing Council

• BLS mandatory; ACLS preferred for ER/ICU nurses

• Chemo-training preferred for Day Care Unit

2. Skills Required

• Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills

• Ability to handle emergencies and critical cases (ER/ICU)

• Knowledge of medication administration, monitoring & documentation

• Understanding of infection control and NABH nursing standards

• Communicate well with patients, attendants, and clinical teams

• EMR / computer knowledge (preferred)

3. Experience Requirement

• ER/ICU: 1–3 years preferred

• General Ward: Freshers accepted; experience preferred

• Day Care: Experience in chemotherapy observation or oncology (preferred)

4. Roles and Responsibilities

A. Emergency (ER) Nurse

• Provide immediate care to emergency patients

• Perform triage, assess vitals, and assist doctors in urgent procedures

• Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and emergency drugs

• Assist in CPR/Code Blue and stabilization

• Maintain ER records, consent forms, and documentation

• Coordinate with ICU, lab, radiology, and pharmacy for fast patient management

B. ICU Nurse

• Provide continuous monitoring of critically ill patients

• Manage ventilators, infusions, and critical care equipment

• Assist doctors during rounds and procedures

• Monitor ABG, ECG, urine output, and vitals

• Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices

• Prepare shift handovers, nursing notes, and documentation accurately

C. General Ward Nurse

• Provide routine patient care: medication, vitals, hygiene, and monitoring

• Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge process

• Maintain patient files, treatment charts, and nursing notes

• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacy, lab, dietician, and billing

• Educate patients and attendants about care and safety

• Ensure ward cleanliness and equipment readiness

D. Day Care (Chemotherapy / Procedure Room) Nurse

• Prepare patients for chemotherapy/infusions under oncologist instructions

• Administer prescribed medications, pre-meds, and IV lines

• Observe and report any reactions during chemotherapy

• Maintain chemo records, consent forms, and nursing charts

• Follow safe handling of cytotoxic drugs (as per hospital policy)

• Provide post-chemo care and patient instructions
