Job Summary:
A Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is responsible for providing basic care and support to patients under the supervision of nurses and medical staff. The role focuses on ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being while assisting with daily living activities and routine healthcare tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding

• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration)

• Help patients with mobility, including transferring and walking

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of patient rooms and equipment

• Support nurses and healthcare professionals during medical procedures

• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients

• Ensure patient safety by following infection control and safety protocols

• Document patient information and report changes in condition to medical staff

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Certification in patient care or nursing assistance (preferred)

• Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and patient care techniques

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature

• Ability to work in a team and handle stressful situations

• Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and care

Work Environment:

• Hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings

• May require working shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
