Job Title: Resident Staff Nurse
Position Overview
The Resident Staff Nurse is responsible for managing the school infirmary, ensuring the health and well-being of students and staff, and coordinating medical operations with the Principal and Administrative Officer. This role requires leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
Supervise and guide nursing staff and support personnel.
Assign duties and monitor performance to maintain high standards of care.
Healthcare Services
Provide first aid, routine medical care, and emergency response for students and staff.
Manage chronic conditions and maintain individualized care plans.
Ensure proper documentation of medical cases and treatments.
Inventory & Resource Management
Maintain stock of medicines, medical supplies, and equipment.
Ensure timely procurement and safe storage of all medical items.
Infirmary Operations
Oversee daily functioning of the infirmary.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and readiness for emergencies.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with the Principal and Administrative Officer for health-related policies and decisions.
Communicate with parents and external healthcare providers when required.
Emergency Management
Act as the first responder in medical emergencies.
Train staff in basic first aid and emergency protocols.
Ensure availability of emergency kits and readiness for crisis situations.
Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc Nursing).
Valid registration with Nursing Council.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in healthcare or school settings.
Strong communication skills (English & Hindi).
Presentable personality with leadership qualities.
