Note: Nursing Superintendent for Home Healthcare
Lead and oversee all nursing services across home-care operations—ensuring clinical excellence, patient safety, and rigorous compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as the organization advances toward accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Governance
Lead the nursing workforce (RNs/ANMs/GNMs/caregivers); set clinical standards, scope of practice, and escalation pathways for home visits.
Implement, monitor, and continuously improve SOPs/clinical pathways for common home-care conditions and procedures.
Drive patient safety initiatives: medication safety, fall prevention, pressure-injury prevention, safe device use, emergency preparedness for in-home settings.
Quality, Accreditation & Compliance
Operationalize QMS aligned to QAI Home Health Care standards (policies, SOPs, checklists, forms, logs).
Plan and conduct internal audits; manage non-conformances with CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions); track closure.
Maintain accreditation evidence files: training records, competency logs, incident/near-miss registers, risk register, mock audit reports.
Ensure compliance with infection prevention & control in home settings (hand hygiene, asepsis, PPE), biomedical waste documentation, equipment calibration, and cold-chain where applicable.
People, Training & Rostering
Workforce planning, credentialing & privileging, induction, and competency assessments (BLS/ACLS, IV therapy, wound care, geriatrics).
Create and execute the annual Training Calendar; deliver refreshers, drills, and case reviews.
Oversee rostering/scheduling for home visits; ensure coverage, punctuality, and continuity of care.
Operations & Coordination
Coordinate with doctors, diagnostics, pharmacy/logistics; ensure availability of kits, consumables, and emergency supplies for field teams.
Strengthen documentation quality in digital EMR/remote monitoring tools; ensure data privacy and record hygiene.
Lead incident review meetings (RCA using 5-Why/Fishbone); publish learnings and improvements.
Patient Experience
Monitor patient feedback/NPS; resolve grievances; implement service recovery and experience improvement projects.
Champion compassionate, dignified care for seniors and family caregivers at home.
Strong command of QAI Home Health Care standards, QMS, SOP design, auditing, CAPA, and risk management.
Advanced clinical judgment in home-care contexts (geriatrics, chronic care, wound/IV/enteral care, palliative basics).
Proficiency with digital EMR, telehealth workflows, remote patient monitoring, and MS Office/Google Workspace.
Leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and stakeholder communication (Tamil & English)
