We are looking for a compassionate and responsible General Duty Assistant (GDA) to provide essential patient care support in a hospital, clinic, or nursing home setting. The GDA will assist nurses and doctors in providing high-quality care, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
· Help in transferring and positioning patients using appropriate lifting techniques or aids.
· Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, beds, and surrounding areas.
· Support nursing staff in monitoring vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, etc.) and report abnormalities.
· Transport patients to different departments (e.g., OT, diagnostic labs, wards).
· Assist in the management of medical waste and linen handling.
· Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
· Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
· Follow infection control protocols and maintain hand hygiene.
· Replenish supplies in patient care areas and maintain stock records if required.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum 10th pass; GDA certification from a recognized institute (NSDC preferred).
· 0-2 years of experience in a similar role (Fresher with GDA certification can also apply).
· Basic understanding of patient care, hygiene practices, and infection control.
· Physically fit and able to handle patients with care and sensitivity.
· Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
· Empathetic, disciplined, and responsible.
