Key Responsibilities:Clinical SupportPrepare treatment rooms before patient appointments (sterilization, setting up instruments, materials, and equipment).Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures by passing instruments, retracting tissues, and managing suction.Maintain infection control protocols and ensure strict adherence to sterilization and hygiene standards.Take and develop dental X-rays (if permitted and trained).Prepare dental impressions, molds, and assist in lab-related tasks when needed.Ensure proper disposal of biohazard waste following guidelines.---Patient CareGreet and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed.Explain post-operative instructions clearly and compassionately.Provide chairside assistance to enhance efficiency and reduce procedure time.Support patients with special needs or anxiety to ensure a positive dental experience.---Administrative DutiesMaintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and appointment schedules as instructed.Manage and monitor dental supplies and inform the supervisor for timely stock replenishment.Assist with billing and payment processes when required.Coordinate with the front desk for smooth patient flow.---Equipment & Inventory ManagementMonitor and maintain all dental instruments, ensuring they are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored.Perform routine checks on dental equipment to ensure proper functioning.Assist in inventory control of consumables and materials.---Skills & QualificationsDiploma/Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant experience in a dental setup.Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.Basic computer skills for dental software and patient record management
