A Dental Assistant supports dentists during patient examinations and treatments while ensuring the dental office operates efficiently. They prepare patients and treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, take dental X-rays, maintain patient records, and educate patients on oral hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort.
Assist the dentist during examinations, fillings, crowns, extractions, and other treatments.
Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental X-rays (where certified).
Record patient medical histories and treatment notes.
Schedule appointments and manage patient records.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain infection control and safety standards.
Stock and organize dental supplies.
